The Harold Hamm Diabetes Center and the Section of Endocrinology is committed to improving the overall care of diabetes patients in the state of Oklahoma. To further this commitment we offer professional training opportunities. Below is a listing of our upcoming professional meetings and education. Diabetes Management and Teaching Strategies: Beyond the Basics		Diabetes Research Symposium
Beyond the Basics is a one or two day event held each spring. The program is intended for any health professional involved in the care and training of persons with diabetes. The purpose is to promote excellence in care, and provide up-to-date information to enhance knowledge integral to the effective management of diabetes. The program also seeks to provide an opportunity for the participant to interact and network with other diabetes professionals.		Diabetes Research Symposium is an annual, one day meeting for all researchers whose work relates to diabetes. Its aim is to bring together diabetes researchers working in Oklahoma, regardless of age, experience, or scientific discipline. The meeting is intended to inform participants about the interests of other investigators, and to stimulate discussion and new collaborations.

		Diabetes Update
		Diabetes Update is held annually in the Fall. It is a state (and regional) meeting aiming to bring together all health professionals concerned with the care of patients with diabetes.
