Diabetes Research Retreat is an annual, one day meeting for all researchers whose work relates to diabetes. Its aim is to bring together diabetes researchers working in Oklahoma, regardless of age, experience, or scientific discipline. The meeting is intended to inform participants about the interests of other investigators, and to stimulate discussion and new collaborations.

This is a campus-wide research retreat. We had 100 participants from different departments and OMRF last year. This would be a good opportunity for your colleagues to know your research and for you to get comments and suggestions and to find collaborators.

This year's meeting will be held at the Oklahoma History Center (map) on Saturday, October 10, 2009, 8:30am to 4:30pm. It will consist of a series of 20 minute oral presentations (including 5 minute discussion time), and poster presentations.

Posters and oral presentations will be judged for first and second place. Gift certificates to amazon.com in the amount of $500.00 for 1st place and $250.00 for 2nd place will be awarded for each category!
