Biographical Sketch

As director for the OU Health Sciences Center Intellectual Property Management Office, Dr. Martha Ogilvie supervised the process of commercializing the intellectual property originating from the University’s Oklahoma City campus.

Joining the University of Oklahoma family from the Fannie Mae Corporation, Dr. Ogilvie served as Director for Single Family Data Quality and Disclosure. She was responsible for directing all aspects of data use and requirements within Single Family and promoted treatment of data and information as critical business assets including, but not limited to, data strategy and architecture; data integrity and transformation; data governance; and information access associated with data.  She was also responsible for Single Family Disclosure affecting Fannie Mae’s $1.9 trillion MBS book of business.

Prior to Fannie Mae, Ogilvie was part of the Celera Corporation, the company that pioneered Human Genome mapping. She was responsible for managing Celera customer care operations, technical sales, and formulating new business models that enabled Celera to maintain a highly competitive position within the biotechnology industry. She was responsible for an international customer base with key clients in Europe, Australia, Asia, and the United States and managed a large network of customer support professionals worldwide.  Ogilvie also brings a foundation of political experience having served as a political appointee in DC Government.

Ogilvie has a Doctorate and Masters of Science in Biochemistry & Molecular Genetics from the University of Oklahoma, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Grinnell College.
