Mission Statement

The Oklahoma Tobacco Research Center (OTRC) is committed to reducing the burden of tobacco related health problems in Oklahoma by stimulating the generation and dissemination of knowledge and the implementation and diffusion of effective practices.

Our Goals

Goal #1:  To facilitate research that advances the prevention and treatment of tobacco use and tobacco related health problems.

Goal #2:  To facilitate the dissemination and exchange of knowledge relevant to the reduction of tobacco use and tobacco related health problems.

Goal #3:  To foster the implementation and diffusion of evidence-based practices relevant to the prevention and treatment of tobacco use and tobacco-related health problems.

Dr. Blum presented "A Call to Action: Countering Tobacco Industry Tactics" sponsored by the College of Pubic Health Grand Rounds and the Oklahoma Tobacco Research Center at the OU Health Sciences Center on October 28, 2009.
