College of Dentistry
The University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry offers accredited training programs for dentists and dental hygienists. The Dental Program (DDS) is a four-year curriculum designed to prepare competent dentists. Successful completion of the program leads to a Doctor of Dental Surgery. The Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene Program is a two-year curriculum built upon a minimum pre-requite of two years of previous undergraduate coursework. Several advanced post-doctoral programs are also offered as part of the College of Dentistry. These include a 30-month M.S. program in Orthodontics, and a 36-month M.S. program in Periodontics.
