The OU Health Sciences Center has completed several upgrades of the campus Blackboard (Bb) system. New features and functions include:

• Animated Quick Tutorials for new & existing functionality - a new module available from the My Blackboard tab provides links to over 30 animated quick tutorials produced by Blackboard on new features & functions available in their family of products. Note: not all features and functions with tutorials are licensed or otherwise available on the HSC Blackboard system.
• Bb Community & campus wide discussion board(s) - the community tab has been added to the screen for authorized users that provides browsable and searchable listings of Bb Communities and new campus-wide discussions
• New content features (adaptive release, question types, review status) - faculty can now automatically make content items available to students based on complex performance criteria, can utilize more complex question types and can track user involvement through review status "flags" that students set on material they have read or completed.
• Access to download Bb Backpack demo for off-line (not connected to the Internet) viewing - this desktop application is available for faculty, staff and students that allows Bb courses and organizations to be downloaded to a laptop and accessed while not connected to the Internet. This tool also provides extensive note-taking and annotation tools.
