6TH ANNUAL BECOMING BABY-FRIENDLY IN OKLAHOMA SUMMIT. March 2nd 2018 at the Samis Education Center, 1200 N Phillips Ave · Oklahoma City, Ok

Please join us for our 6th annual Becoming Baby-Friendly in Oklahoma Summit!

The summit will be from 8am - 4:30pm at the Samis Education Center at OUHSC.

Anyone working in the maternal/child health field is invited to attend.

Our keynote speakers include:

  • Christina Smillie, MD, will speak on the neurophysiological basis of breastfeeding in her talks on baby-led breastfeeding and the mother-baby dance
  • Sahira Long, MD, will speak on community support and reducing the disparities in breastfeeding

We will also have a panel session with hospital representatives about the safety of Baby-Friendly practices.

Six Continuing Education Credits will be applied for nurses. The cost is $20 per person, with lunch included.

Becoming Baby-Friendly in Oklahoma (BBFOK) is a statewide effort to help hospitals improve maternity care and increase the number of Baby-Friendly hospitals in Oklahoma.
