Thank you for joining us for our 6th annual Becoming Baby-Friendly in Oklahoma Summit!

Our keynote speakers included:
  • Christina Smillie, MD, will speak on the neurophysiological basis of breastfeeding in her talks on baby-led breastfeeding and the mother-baby dance
  • Sahira Long, MD, will speak on community support and reducing the disparities in breastfeeding

A special thanks to our hospital representatives and OPQIC for speaking about the safety of Baby-Friendly practices on our panel session.

Becoming Baby-Friendly in Oklahoma (BBFOK) is a statewide effort to help hospitals improve maternity care and increase the number of Baby-Friendly hospitals in Oklahoma.

If your hospital was one of the first 10 Oklahoma hospitals to register and had staff that attended the Summit, you will qualify for the education stipend. We will be contacting you with more details. Hospitals participating in BBFOK will be eligible to enroll 8 staff in the OBRC 15 hour online training. Oklahoma hospitals that are not participating in BBFOK will be eligible to enroll 4 staff in this free training.
