Asthma Therapy 2014: Are Steroids and Beta-2 Agonists Still Our Only Options?

Objectives:

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to: Recognize patients whose asthma is not adequately controlled. To explain to such patients the possibility of using non-traditional medications. To identify the role of antimetabolite and anti-inflammatory drugs. To assess steroid-resistant patients and refer them to physicians comfortable with using these medications.
