A History of Wound Care:  From Wet to Dry Dressings and Whirlpools to Total Contact Casts

Objectives: Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:  Identify methods of off-loading diabetic foot ulcers.  To identify indications and contraindications of total contact casts.  To identify old techniques of wound care and appropriate replacement techniques.  To identify indications and contraindications of total contact splints.
