2014 Update – Conscious Sedation:  How to Enhance Effectiveness and Safety

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:  Describe the terms of minimal, moderate and deep sedation (as defined by the American Society of Anesthesiology).  To identify the factors that promotes safety in the conduct of sedation.  To recognize the factors that increases the effectiveness of sedation.
