Why We Play:  Ethics, Values, Sports

Thomas H. Murray, PhD, Senior Research Scholar and President Emeritus,The Hastings Center, Garrison, New York – Patricia Price Browne Prize in Biomedical Ethics.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to: Identify the major categories of performance enhancing drugs used by athletes, including youth.  To explain to patients and families the health advantages of playing sport.  To evaluate the ethical arguments for and against permitting performance enhancing drugs in sport.
