About Us

The Office of Community Partnerships and Health Policy at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center is committed to ensuring, through policies, programs and initiatives, that all Oklahomans are able to benefit from the health care and educational resources and opportunities that are available throughout the University.

The Office of Community Partnerships and Health Policy is also committed to developing partnerships and relationships that enhance the visibility of the Health Sciences Center and the health science professions represented at the University. Through partnerships and relationships the Office of Community Partnerships and Health Policy will create the programs, activities, and initiatives that are critical to creating opportunities for a diverse population.

The primary objectives of the Office of Community Partnerships and Health Policy are:

• Identify, inform, support and provide opportunities for academically outstanding students, with special emphasis on populations underrepresented in the health sciences.
• Disseminate information on programs in the biomedical and health sciences available to students.
• Improve communication among health sciences professionals and students at varying stages in their education and career development.
• To address the demand for a diverse health sciences workforce by developing qualified, diverse students who can become valued professionals in the future.
• Raise community awareness and response to issues and resources related to the health sciences.

The Office of Community Partnerships and Health Policy supports an works in collaboration with the various academic units, hospitals, and other campus and community resources in promoting an environment that values and nurtures an inclusive environment of diversity.
