The Proteomics division of the Laboratory for Molecular Biology and Cytometry Research is committed to providing the highest quality services related to proteomic analysis, specifically biomolecule mass spectrometry. The instrumentation available for mass spectrometry and proteomics services include four mass spectrometers, three electrospray systems and one MALDI-Tof. The electrospray systems include two Applied Biosystems QSTAR hybrid quadrupole/Tof mass spectrometers, one of which is the QSTAR Elite.

The third electrospray system is a Bruker-Daltonics HCT Ultra ion trap mass spectrometer equipped with an Electron Transfer Dissociation (ETD) source for MS/MS analysis for post-translational modifications of proteins. These electrospray systems are equipped to perform either capillary scale LC/MS/MS or nanospray/MS/MS. The fourth mass spectrometer is an Applied Biosystems Voyager DE Pro MALDI-Tof mass spectrometer.

The laboratory is located in room 1102 of the Stanton L. Young Biomedical Research Center Building on the campus of the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, Oklahoma City.

  1. Please fill out submission form completely and email to the address indicated on the downloadable form.
  2. Samples can be submitted between facility hours ( 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday) and should be placed in the white -20°C freezer or the small, brown 4°C located in BRC1106.
  3. A completed SUR form (OUHSC) or PO# (off-campus) must be given at the time of submission. Forms should be placed in the basket on the counter in room BRC1106 (next to the freezer).
  4. For faster processing of samples for In-Gel Proteolytic Digestion, we ask that you alert us 24 hours prior to sample drop-off. Additionally, samples for In-Gel Proteolytic Digestion submitted after 12:00pm cannot be processed until the following day; samples submitted after 12:00pm on Thursday cannot be processed until the following Monday.

If you have any additional questions, please e-mail the lab group at LMBCR_help@ouhsc.edu or contact Dr. Allison Gillaspy at Allison-gillaspy@ouhsc.edu.
