IF
A BOMB THREAT IS RECEIVED OVER THE TELEPHONE, TAKE THE FOLLOWING
ACTIONS
Stay
calm.
Attempt
to get the following information from the caller:
What time the bomb is set to explode
What type of bomb it is.
What type of container the bomb is in.
Why bomb was placed.
Who the bomber and/or caller is.
Have a
co-worker or another person contact 911, using
another phone, then call:
660-3333.
Write information
down as caller says it and have co-worker relay information to Campus
Security / Emergency Operator.
Try to
keep caller on the phone.
Listen
for any background noises, voice inflection or accents, and/or anything
that
Would help
to determine the origin of the call.
Evacuate
the building upon instruction from properly identified emergency
personnel or as deemed appropriate in individual situations.
