EXPLOSION
IN
THE EVENT OF AN EXPLOSION IN A BUILDING, TAKE THE FOLLOWING ACTION:
Immediately
take cover under tables, desks, or other such objects, which will
give protection against flying glass and debris.
After the
effects of the explosion have subsided, call Campus Security at
660-3333 (or 911).
Activate
the building fire alarm system.
Evacuate
the immediate area of the explosion.
Seek and
assist injured and disabled persons in evacuation the building.
Exit using the stairway.
DO
NOT USE ELEVATORS.
Once outside,
move at least 300 feet (approximately 2/3 to 1 block) away
from the affected building.
Keep roadways
and walkways clear for emergency vehicles.
Wait for
further instructions from Campus Security or properly identified
emergency personnel.
DO
NOT RE-ENTER the building until instructed to do so.
