Welcome to the faculty development programs sponsored through the Office of the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs and Faculty Development
Our goal is to offer faculty opportunities for knowledge and skill development for essential areas of faculty responsibility and to celebrate faculty leadership within the teaching, research/scholarship and service mission. Seminars, workshops, simulation and applied practice are among the program offerings and include tools for self-assessment and peer-feedback.

Faculty Leadership Program (FLP)
An 11-month series of integrated seminars introducing early career faculty to knowledge, skill building, and leadership information for teaching, scholarship and service roles within the academic health center.

Education Grand Rounds
A monthly series of interactive faculty development sessions for all OUHSC faculty, staff, fellows and gradute students interested in teaching and strategies to enhance student mastery.

Ed Tech Tuesdays

A pilot program of the Department of Academic Technology through the Office of Academic Affairs & Faculty Development to be held the 2nd Tuesday of each month.  This program is designed to introduce OUHSC faculty and staff to tools for effective teaching and learning using technology available to the campuses.

Educators for Excellence

A dialogue and discovery project of the Office of Academic Affairs and Faculty Development engaging health professions and biomedical sciences faculty in continuing professional development focused on sustaining and enhancing excellence.

Oklahoma NARCH Faculty Development Project
The Oklahoma Native American Research Centers for Health (NARCH) faculty development project is a collaboration between the Chickasaw Nation, the Cherokee Nation, and the Office of Faculty Development & Interdisciplinary Programs at the OUHSC, providing a learning and research skill building partnership between the Indian Tribes and OUHSC.

Faculty Development Workshops
Topical workshops and schedules including faculty orientation, goal setting, and promotion and tenure preparation.

Preparing Future Faculty

The Preparing Future Faculty (PFF) Program consists of a 2-hour fall semester and a 2-hour spring semester course. The program is designed for graduate students and postdoctoral research fellows interested in gaining the basic theory and skills necessary to be an effective communicator and educator and to have a mentored teaching experience.
