- Information:
IGIG is a student organization designed to acquaint University of Oklahoma Health Sciences students with the issues, problems, and latest information related to the health care of the older population. IGIG is closely associated with the College of Medicine Department of Geriatrics, but we are a multidisciplinary group and any student from the OUHSC campus is welcome to our organization and meetings. IGIG has 5 officers and about 30 members. The group meets on a regular basis during the lunch hour throughout the academic year. Speakers from the campus and community bring their unique perspectives on either providing services to the geriatric population or being a member of the older community. See our calendar!
- Goals:
Familiarize students with the profession of geriatrics and educate students about issues that all healthcare providers will encounter when treating older people.
- Affiliations:
