Normal Urinary Tract Function

In order to remain normally continent, one must have following:

• Intact lower urinary tract function;

• Enough mobility and dexterity to remain continent in one's environment;

• A supportive environment, especially if mobility or dexterity are limited;

• Cognitive and spinal cord function; and

• Motivation.
