Stress Incontinence
Stress incontinence is characterized by leakage of urine with an increase in intra-abdominal
pressure, as when the person laughs, sneezes, coughs, or even stands from a
sitting position. The amount of urine lost is usually small, and nocturnal
symptoms are uncommon. The is usually small unless there is a large cystocele.
