Research & Education Interests: Development, Testing, and Implementation of Evidence-Based Education

My activities are primarily divided among the following initiatives & responsibilities:

1. Director of Education for the Donald W. Reynolds Department of Geriatric Medicine.  This responsiblity requires planning and support of a broad array of educational activities provided to an interdisciplinary audience of health care providers and caregivers.  Formal evaluation of various activities involves quantitative and qualitative research approaches.

2. Principal Investigator and Director of the Oklahoma geriaric Education Center.  The OkGEC is designed to address: (1) geriatric and gerontology training needs of health professionals in Oklahoma and (2) gaps in the scientific methodology of evaluating educational initiatives.
