The Graduate Student Association at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center invites you to take part in the Research Vendor Show as part of the 35th annual Graduate Research Education and Technology (GREAT) Symposium. The student-sponsored GREAT Symposium is a 3-day series of events which highlights the research activities at all the HSC Colleges. Student participants include those in Allied Health, Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Public Health. Invitations to these events, in particular the vendor show, are also extended to students at other institutions in the state as well as faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and staff members from the Health Sciences Center. Additional events scheduled for this three-day event include workshops and both oral and poster presentations.
The Research Vendor Show is scheduled for Thursday, April 1, 2010 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm in the Robert M. Bird Library Foyer. Building on last year’s very successful event, we have kept the hours of the vendor show so that it occurs concurrently with other GREAT events that draw research faculty, post-doctoral fellows, technicians, and graduate students to the Library Building during the hours of the show. As was done last year, the research honor society, Sigma Xi, will host a breakfast for the campus to kick off the Vendor Show. Additionally, a poster viewing session is scheduled the morning of the show so that students may present and discuss their work with faculty from the entire campus. Finally, a campus-wide lunch is scheduled during the vendor show followed by our awards ceremony and a keynote address by ?????????? from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.
