This image provided by the US Navy Research Lab shows Hurricane Gustav taken at 12:01 am Sat. Aug. 30, 2008. Hurricane Gustav plowed through the Cayman Islands toward Cuba, gathering strength on a journey that could take it to the U.S. Gulf Coast as a fearsome Category-3 storm three years after Hurricane Katrina. At 1100 pm edt Friday Aug. 29, 2008 the center of Hurricane Gustav was located about 25 miles west southwest of Little Cayman Island and 330 miles east-southeast of the western tip of Cuba. Gustav is moving toward the northwest near 10 mph and this general motion is expected to continue for the next couple of days. Maximum sustained winds are near 80 mph with higher gusts. Gustav is a Category One hurricane on the saffir-simpson scale. Strengthening is forecast during the next two days and Gustave could become a major hurricane as it approaches western Cuba according to forecasters at the National Hurricane Center. (AP Photo/US NAVY)AP - As New Orleans residents warily track another threatening storm, a new report presents the clearest picture yet of deaths from Katrina in Louisiana. Of the nearly 1,000 who died, almost half were 75 or older, according to researchers.
