IRB NEWS ITEMS
IRB Education Status
Please remember to verify the education status of all key study personnel (KSP) prior to submitting your initial application, continuing review, or modification to the IRB. This can be done with a quick phone call to the IRB Office at 405-271-2045. We are currently working on updating all training records in the new iRIS system. Until this is accomplished, iRIS will not reflect accurate education status information.
CITI Registration
When registering with CITI (Collaborative IRB Training Initiative), you will be asked to provide an email address. It is imperative that you provide your OUHSC email address (not Gmail, Yahoo, etc.). The new IRB electronic submission system (iRIS) will not receive your updated CITI information if another email is used.
New Form Conversion
Whenever a revision is made to an iRIS electronic form, consideration must be made for individuals who have begun to work in the previous version. iRIS deals with this situation with the use of a CONVERT button. A message will pop up in a separate window informing you a new form as been published. You will then have to click on the CONVERT button which will be located at the top of the form.
When you do this, the appearance of your form will change and you will return to the first section that has been revised. It may look like you lost all of the information you already entered, however, you will NOT lose any information. Clicking the SAVE and CONTINUE button will return all of the sections with your previously entered information.
