iRIS Training for Principal Investigators,
Research Coordinators and Staff
Get your team up and running with the new iRIS online submission system!
To facilitate the transition to iRIS, we will be offering several modes of training-traditional classroom, departmental, and online references-targeting iRIS roles.
For Research Coordinators and Researchers who will be completing iRIS submission forms, we offer two hands-on workshops. Each module lasts two hours.
- Part 1 introduces iRIS and provides the basics of logging into the system, navigating through the application process, responding to review stipulations, and submitting a Human Subjects Research Determination form.
- Part 2 focuses on how to submit Continuing Review, Modification requests, Protocol Deviation, and Unanticipated Problem forms.
For Principal and Co-Principal Investigators who will be applying their electronic signatures to submit studies into iRIS but not actually completing the forms, we offer a 30-minute Approver training session.
- Approver training explains navigating iRIS, recognizing iRIS notifications, using the workbench to access and review forms and study documents, and applying electronic signatures.
Reserve your seat in your preferred session by emailing the date and time to irb@ouhsc.edu or calling 271-2045. If you wish, you may bring your laptop-iRIS works with PC, Apple/Mac, Linux, etc.-or we will provide a laptop for you to use during training.
Each session held in the HSC IRB Conference Room will be limited to 8 trainees, so reserve your preferred time and date soon.
If you would prefer, we can also present the above training sessions for your department. If you wish to make arrangements for departmental training sessions at your location,
please call 271-2045 or email irb@ouhsc.edu to discuss.
