Dr. Lynn Brandenberger is a horticulturist at Oklahoma State University serving the needs of the commercial vegetable industry in Oklahoma. He is responsible for leading extension and research programs focused on enhancing the yield, quality and safety of fresh and processed vegetables. Come join him for a fun and informative session on getting the most out of your growing season!!


This presentation discusses how to expand farmers markets' reach to Oklahomans who utilize financially based benefit programs. It includes a guide of how to apply for Food and Nutrition Services approval, training eligible vendors for Supplemental Nutrition Assitance Program (SNAP) and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) acceptance and marketing to SNAP and SFMNP recipients.


This presentation provides nutrition education strategies to engage clients during the farmers market.
