Mission Statement

  • Facilitate patient access to Cancer Clinical Trials
  • Support investigators in every aspect of clinical trials research, including protocol development, contract execution, financial accounting, compliance reporting and trial maintenance
  • Serve as the contact point for both investigators and industrial sponsors to access sufficient numbers of patients to conduct clinical research

The Clinical Trials Office (CTO) exists to support and promote clinical trials research and education for cancer researchers, specialists and patients, both at the OU Health Sciences Center and for health care providers and patients throughout the state. It is a resource that provides the necessary tools and expertise for conducting innovative and safe clinical trials research in compliance with required federal regulatory guidelines.

The Clinical Trials Office ensures that cancer clinical trials conducted at the OU Cancer Institute are in accordance with the Food and Drug Administration's required qualifications. More information about FDA required commitments can be found at the FDA Center for Drug Evaluation and Research Web site.

The Clinical Trials Office is currently staffed with more than twenty personnel who oversee and coordinate the many facets of conducting innovative and safe clinical trials research, from study design to consenting patients, data entry, and regulatory support.
