Our social workers specialize in cancer care and deliver assistance in the following areas:
We have counseling services available for OU Cancer Institute patients, to include assistance with coping skills and grief processing. We also help you identify community resources available to you. If you feel you could use this service, please have your provider make a referral. If you are having difficulty eating due to your treatment or problems with your weight, please have cancer provider refer you to our Registered Dietician. We have patient navigators embedded in OU Cancer Institute clinics to assist you with your medical and social needs throughout your cancer journey. We have numerous resources for patients and their families and loved ones. You may have already been provided with information at your clinic, but if you have any requests or other needs, please e-mail our resource coordinator or call 271-8001 Ext 48600.
