Free Radicals and Cancer

Research Description

Free radicals have been shown to play an important role in tumor formation and progression. Our scientists are studying the processes that give rise to free radicals, investigating their role in cancer and developing novel drugs that trap free radicals. These new drugs are being tested for chemoprevention and cancer treatment. State-of the art imaging, including a small animal MRI facility, have kept our scientists on the cutting edge of free radical biology.
