Determining Roles of Glycoproteins in Metastasis Research Description Glycoproteins are large molecules that sit on the outside of cells and control growth, movement, attachment and interaction with other cells. We are studying primary tumors and cancer metastases that spread in the body to understand the role of glycoproteins in the ability of cancer cells to migrate and make new tumors throughout the body.
