Cancer Research Award Program
The OU Cancer Institute is pleased to announce the OUCI Cancer Research Awards Program. Funding will be made available in the form of competitive research awards to OUHSC faculty. Awards will range from $25,000 to $75,000 and can be renewed on a competitive basis. Proposals for cancer-related research in the following areas will be considered: basic research, translational research, clinical research, patient supportive care research, and behavioral / social science research.
The goal of this program is to increase the amount of National Cancer Institute (NCI) research funding on the OUHSC campus. Special emphasis in the review process will be placed on proposals that (1) are likely to lead to NCI funding, (2) are collaborative in nature and with potential of leading to multi-P.I. grant funding, (3) focus on translational research, (4) support growth and development in OUCI research areas.
