This program is written with HTML with split frame used in most of the content. Online slides is supported by an Aperio server. Visualization of the image does not need additional installation of software. If you have problem with your browser, you might want to use try Explorer from Microsoft.
In modules with whole slide image (virtual slide), a user name and password combination is needed to access the slides online. The username and password is posted on top of each module. For each whole slide image, there is a choice that look like the one below for you to open it in the subframe, in a different window, and with ImageScope.
Online Slide/Full Screen/Open with ImageScope
In order to open with ImageScope which allows photography, you need to download the software from Leica and install it in your PC. There is no ImageScope version for Mac OS at this point.
