I attended the suppot group meeting in Columbus Ohio and my mother and I got to meet Dr. Georg finally. Dr. Cataland speaks so highly of him and all of the information that her shared was very informative. Thank you!

I am thankful to find this website! a few days ago I went to the ER because of acute illness, during which the thrombocytopenia was diagnosed. I meet with the consult oncologist tomorrow; I feel more knowledgeable now about the wide range of possibilities. I have been complaining of symptoms in increasing severity over the last few months. QUESTION: I had my H1N1 vaccine on Jan 14. SOME EMEDICINE ARTICLES (link) INDICATE THAT VACCINATIONS CAN PRECIPITATE AN ACUTE EPISODE, and I wonder if you have more information on this? Thank you.

I attended the TTP conference in Columbus, Ohio. I found it very informative and interesting. I was excited to meet Dr George, Dr. Cataland and Dr. Wu. I am looking forward to the next one in June.

I was diagnosed with TTP Oct. 2009 with no other complications, thank God. I immediately began Plasma treatments and took my last one Jan. 14, 2010. My platlet and LDH counts seems to be stable but my doctor is concerned about me returning to work to soon. I feel great and have felt this way during the entire process. I feel that I'm ready to return to work but don't want to move to quick. Should I be taking this likely since I feel great?
