I am writing an anatomy and physiology lab exercise on blood clotting for students on allied health tracks. May I have permission to use a platelet image to illustrate the commentary. If yes, please let me know how you want acknowledgement.

I'm a 77 yr old male diagnosed with ITP and low Iron in June 2010. Platlet count was down to 32,00. Have had treatments with prednosne, winro, and Rituxin. All have resulted in only temporary improvement. Now 4 weeks after and counts are starting to decline again-- looks like a spleenectomy is next.

I had TTP in Aug. 2010, as a result and during my plasma exchange treatments I had 2 Grand Mal seizures and broke both of my shoulders as a result. after a month in the hospital from the TTP I did several months of rehab, I take seizure meds and I was diagnosed with pancriatic tumor that I had a major whipple surgery to remove in late Feb. 2011. I am obviously still recovering from that surgery, but I notice how tired I have stayed before and after this surgery along with my major memory issue. I am just wondering if anyone has been suffering from the same after effects as me with chronic fatigue and memory loss and does any of this ever get better?? I wonder what type of doctor I need to be seeing for any of these things becuase my hemotologist just checks my blood counts at this point.
