I am a 29 yr old mother of two boys I was dx with TTP for the first time in January 2006 at the age of 26, treated with plasmapheresis and was in remission until July of that same year. I was treated with plasmapheresis and rituximab. I then relapsed again in January 2009. I have been in remission ever since with care of my wonderful hemotologist. I see him every three months and he draws a CBC and also an ADAMTS13. My ADAMTS13 was in normal range in Nov. 10 but I recently had it tested again and found my CBC is normal but my ADAMTS13 level has fallen from 82% to 47%.....my dr is now going to test my Adamts 13 again and possibly treat with rituximab to prevent a relapse. Fingers crossed.

I work in a hospital lab where we have begun to see a much larger incidence of platelet clumping on peripheral smears that does not appear to be related to any medical condition or reduction of platelet counts. Outside of blood collection techniques, do you have any other thoughts as to why this phenomena is on the increase?

hey everyone , i have a ttp in 16 august and i did a reclapsse in may 25 and im still sick but its not my plaquette , 318 and my hg its 145 ... the plasmapherese work , so far im good . my hemotolagist said that was my pregeness who give me my fist and second reclase ....im working and i have a normal lives .....
