|What are the benefits of IVIG and TTP? Does IVIG have longer remission effects? Can IVIG be used during pregnancy? My ADAMTS13 has been <5 since I was diagnosed with TTP and only rose to 7 since I was in remission would IVIG be something that could help me? My TTP is active again and have been receiving plasma exchange and am looking for more options.

|Thank you for the information and patient perspective on TTP. My wife was diagnosed three weeks ago. To compound the condition, she has had MS for the last 24 years. While undergoing treatment she has had at least one TIA event, had her body reject plasmapheresis, and contracted pneumonia. She has been a challenge to the team at Presbyterian/St. Lukes here in Denver. The knowledge shared is invaluable and I believe I know what to expect in the short and long term. Thank you again.

|My 5 year old daughter was recently in the hospital for 1 week with ITP. The week prior to her being admitted she drank "sanitizer" that was mistakingly put in a milk carton. Although at this time I don't have a list of what all was in this sanitizer, I'm wondering if you have had any cases like this. She had a small cough for a few days 3-4 weeks before this occurred but no illness or virus. Thank you for your help!

|I have unexplained infertility, i took medication to become pregnant, last year had two chemical pregnancies and was diagnosed with TTP immediately after. This year we started fertility treatments again and am back in the hospital with TTP. Is there anything that i can do or take? I am in the hospital now waiting to do an hcg quant tomorrow to find out if the meds worked and i was able to conceive. I am 31 and in pretty good health, other than the TTP. Any information is appreciated!

|I am a 29 yr old mother of two boys I was dx with TTP for the first time in January 2006 at the age of 26, treated with plasmapheresis and was in remission until July of that same year. I was treated with plasmapheresis and rituximab. I then relapsed again in January 2009. I have been in remission ever since with care of my wonderful hemotologist. I see him every three months and he draws a CBC and also an ADAMTS13. My ADAMTS13 was in normal range in Nov. 10 but I recently had it tested again and found my CBC is normal but my ADAMTS13 level has fallen from 82% to 47%.....my dr is now going to test my Adamts 13 again and possibly treat with rituximab to prevent a relapse. Fingers crossed.
