|ITP..runs in my family..I am 71 years old have been cronic for years..about 30 thousand, do not treat and live a normal life inspite of a heart attack and copd.
23 year old grandaughter had two acute episodes, platelets dropped to 1 thousand...at 7 & 13, was hospitalized both times, platlets returned to normal after treatment.
Recently discovered grandmother's infant baby died in 1909 of what appears to be ITP.
