In the interest of safety, the University of Oklahoma Police Department HSC has issued a Crime Bulletin for the campus community. Officials at the University of Oklahoma have recently been made aware of an assault that took place on campus.
The OUHSC Police Department has been informed that the following crime, which has occurred on OUHSC campus, is being investigated by the University of Oklahoma HSC Police:
At approximately 5:00 p.m. Friday, December 19, 2014, an assault was reported to have occurred in the parking lot located in the 1400 block of North Phillips Avenue. The female victim, an employee of the University, was walking to her vehicle. The suspect, who is not affiliated with the University, walked up behind the victim and hit her; the suspect was with two other males. The suspects saw an OUHSC Police officer who was on patrol in the area. The suspects then fled the area on foot with the officer giving chase. One suspect was apprehended, which led to the identification of the other two suspects and subsequent apprehension of one more suspect.
The University of Oklahoma HSC Police Department has issued this Crime Bulletin for the OUHSC Community in compliance with the “Timely Notice” provision of the Federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Police and Campus Crime Statistics Act of 1998.
