SEVERE WEATHER PRECAUTIONS

TORNADO WATCH ALERT

A Tornado Watch is issued to alert people to the possibility of tornado development. All employees, patients, visitors, students, etc., need to be aware of this alert. When a Tornado Watch is issued in our area, you need to monitor the TV or listen to a local radio station. DO NOT CALL Police or Fire dispatchers unless it is an emergency.

TORNADO WARNING ALERT

A Tornado Warning is issued when a tornado has actually been sighted or is indicated by radar. When a Tornado Warning has been issued for our area all employees, patients, visitors, students, etc., need to seek shelter immediately! Listen for a Tornado siren. Building Coordinators should contact occupants by verbal warning on each floor, by overhead page, or by building specific e-mail. If you are inside a building you need to proceed to the designated shelter for the building you are in (see attached shelter list). DO NOT LEAVE THE SHELTER until the all clear has been given by Police, Firefighters, or Emergency Management personnel. If a person is outside seeking shelter, they need to lie flat in a ditch or culvert (watch for flooding).

Motor Pool:
All individuals will meet in the basement level of the Service Center Building.

Steam and Chilled Water Plant:
All individuals will meet in the basement level of the building.

OU HSC Police Department:
All individuals will meet in the basement level of Children’s Hospital or Secondary Dispatch Center.

Child Study Center:
All individuals will meet in the basement level of the building.

Biomedical Research Center:
All individuals will meet in the underground tunnel, located in the northeast side of the basement.

Green House:
All individuals will meet in the Center for Healthy Living basement level.

College of Nursing:
All individuals will meet in the underground tunnel, located in the basement level of the building.

Allied Health Practice Center:
All individuals will meet in the basement level of the Rogers Building.

Animal Resources Annex:
All individuals will meet in the basement level of College of Nursing building.

John Keys Speech & Hearing:
All individuals will meet in the basement level of the building.

University Village:
All individuals will meet in the underground tunnel, located in the basement level of the College of Nursing building.

Dermatology Clinic:
All individuals will meet in the basement level of the building.

Student Union:
All individuals will meet in the underground tunnel, located in the basement level of the building.

Family Medicine Building:
All individuals will meet in the underground tunnel, located in the basement level of Biomedical Research Building.

Williams Pavilion:
All individuals will meet in the basement level of Biomedical Research Building.

Faculty House:
All individuals will meet in the basement level of the building.

Library:
All individuals will meet in the underground tunnel, located on the east side of the basement.

Rogers Building:
All individuals will meet in the basement level of the building.

OU Physicians Building:
All individuals will meet in the 1st floor northeast side of the building.

O’Donoghue Research Building:
All individuals will meet in the basement level of the building.

Basic Sciences Education Building:
All individuals will meet in the underground tunnel, located on the north side of the basement.

Service Center Building:
All individuals will meet in the East/West hall by Human Resources or in the East/West hall by the Lock Shop.

Biomedical Sciences Building:
All individuals will meet in the underground tunnel, located in the east side of the basement.

College of Health Building:
All individuals will meet in the basement level of the building.

College of Pharmacy Building:
All individuals will meet in the basement level of the building.

Dental Clinical Sciences Building:
All individuals will meet in the underground tunnel, located in the basement level of the Basic Sciences Education Building.
