Abstract: The recent BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico is undoubtedly the worst marine oil spill in US history, dwarfing even the notorious Exxon Valdez spill in 1989. Oil spill clean-up workers tend to suffer a myriad of health effects such as neurological, lung, and skin problems. This presentation will explore the research presently being conducted as well as recent data concerning the dermatological inflammatory response of weathered Gulf Oil.
