Radiation Safety Training

Training is required for all workers using radioactive materials or working with radiation-producing devices.

New radiation worker training is usually held on Wednesdays in the Radiation Safety Office, and alternates between radioactive materials training and x-ray training. Please contact the office to find out when the next training is scheduled, to reserve a seat in a class, or to request an alternative time.

Additional training is provided upon request such as:

New authorized user (minilicense) training

Department of Transportation training

Nuclear Medicine, Nuclear Pharmacy, and other clinical department radiation safety training

Pre-natal radiation safety training
