About Us
Since our founding in 1992, the Center for Learning and Leadership's work has been guided by partnership principles that support our mission and vision in our work with people across the state of Oklahoma. Our goals focus on improving the quality of life for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).
2013-2017 Goals
- Pre-service and Continuing Education: Equip students in higher education and professionals in disability-related disciplines with best practice information access and skills for interdisciplinary service provision, family and person centered practices, advocacy and systems change.
- Community Services: Enhance the systems of services and supports for people with disabilities and their families through: community training to improve knowledge and skills; technical assistance to improve service systems; and model activities of service delivery.
- Research: Conduct research and evaluation that involves people with disabilities or their family members, and/or that is related to issues or topics that affect them.
- Dissemination: Increase access of community members, including those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, to disability-related information, research findings and products.
