Rick Wetherill is the Director of Continuing Education and Dean of the School of Graduate Studies at East Central University (ECU). ECU continues to do training for direct services staff through a contract with the Developmental Disabilities Services Division of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services. ECU trained over 3,500 staff last fiscal year. ECU also has conducted an interdisciplinary course for over 10 years through their partnership with the Oklahoma UCEDD. The week-long course trains students from a variety of disciplines, including education, psychology and social work, to work together as a team. ECU also hosts the Annual All Nations Pow-Wow and distributes materials to Native Americans through this venue.
