Thousands of Oklahoman's are treated each year by clinical faculty at the OU Health Sciences Center or by those who have been trained by these clinicians.

OU Medicine

OU Medicine — along with its academic partner, the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center — is the state’s only comprehensive academic health system of hospitals, clinics and centers of excellence. With 11,000 employees and more than 1,300 physicians and advanced practice providers, OU Medicine is home to Oklahoma’s largest physician network with a complete range of specialty care. OU Medicine serves Oklahoma and the region with the state’s only freestanding children’s hospital, the only National Cancer Institute-Designated Stephenson Cancer Center and Oklahoma’s flagship hospital, which serves as the state’s only Level 1 trauma center. OU Medicine’s mission is to lead healthcare in patient care, education and research. 

OU Physicians

With nearly one million patient visits per year, OU Physicians provides healthcare with a depth and breadth of expertise that is unmatched in the region. Locations range from the Oklahoma Health Center in downtown Oklahoma City to 23 total clinics in the Oklahoma City area, Edmond, Midwest City and Lawton. In the Tulsa area, 300 physicians and specialists provide clinical care at six OU Physicians clinics. All providers also serve as faculty of the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, training the next generation of physicians. 

The Children's Hospital 

At The Children’s Hospital, pediatric staff blends years of training with education, research and technology to improve the lives of children throughout the region. The obstetric emergency room at The Children’s Hospital is a regional referral center for the state, and the neonatal intensive care unit provides the highest level of newborn care in Oklahoma. Children’s is also home to the only 24/7 pediatric emergency room in Oklahoma City. With a family-centered approach to healing, Children’s offers resources from pet therapy to child life specialists who help families cope with hospitalization and illness. From advanced surgical services to general pediatrics, oncology care and more, The Children’s Hospital provides cutting-edge research and treatments through hospital-based and outpatient services. 

OU Medical Center

OU Medical Center is the only comprehensive academic hospital in the state, offering the widest range of medical and surgical services in the region. Serving as Oklahoma’s only Level I trauma center, the hospital is a multi-state resource for every aspect of injury prevention and treatment. OU Medical Center offers the highest level of care for stroke patients, providing unmatched neurology and neurosurgery services, and is home to Oklahoma’s most experienced organ transplant team. Working alongside the Stephenson Cancer Center, the hospital has the state’s only comprehensive bone marrow transplant center and more radiation therapy options than any hospital in Oklahoma. From advanced cardiac care to orthopedic services and more, OU Medical Center patients benefit from healthcare based on the latest research and advances in medicine. 

OU Medical Center Edmond

A cornerstone of the Edmond community for more than 70 years, OU Medical Center Edmond is a full-service community hospital offering a direct connection to the knowledge and resources of the state’s only comprehensive academic hospital. The facility offers patients clinical excellence in services ranging from emergency care to surgical procedures. Outpatient services include cutting-edge diagnostic imaging, a cardiac catheterization lab and outpatient physical rehabilitation programs. The Autumn Life Center for Geriatric Behavioral Health is Edmond’s only inpatient behavioral health program and is recognized for its innovative therapy programs. 

Stephenson Cancer Center

The Stephenson Cancer Center is Oklahoma’s only National Cancer Institute-Designated Cancer Center. One of the country’s elite centers, the Stephenson Cancer Center is the largest and most comprehensive oncology practice in the state, delivering patient-centered, multidisciplinary care for every type of cancer. As one of the country’s leading research organizations, the Stephenson Cancer Center uses the latest innovations to fight and eliminate cancer, and is currently ranked No. 1 among all cancer centers in the nation for the number of patients participating in NCI-sponsored treatment trials. 

Harold Hamm Diabetes Center

Harold Hamm Diabetes Center is committed to curing diabetes and ending the diabetes pandemic in the 21st century. It is among the world’s largest and most comprehensive institutions of its kind, integrating top-flight academic research with clinical care and disease prevention. The center oversees the world’s top research prize in the diabetes field. It has facilities in Oklahoma City and Tulsa as well as affiliated sites across the state, including partnerships with Native American communities. An innovative range of services includes support groups, cooking classes, lifestyle-intervention programs, and a summer camp for children and teens.  

OU Dentistry

The University Dental Faculty Group is a full-service dental practice which provides general dental services as well as dental specialty services. The philosophy of the practice is to provide its dental patients with the highest quality, most cost-effective dental treatment.

The Dean McGee Eye Institute

DMEI is home to the Department of Ophthalmology of the University of Oklahoma and conducts training programs for medical students, residents, and clinical fellows. DMEI ranks as one of the largest ophthalmology institutes in the United States and is one of only a small handful of institutions in the Southwest and Midwest offering a complete spectrum of subspecialty eye care for everything from tumors to macular degeneration. DMEI provides services for over 195,000 patient visits each year from all 77 Oklahoma counties and the surrounding region and serving nearly 8,700 surgical patients annually in its femtosecond laser-equipped ambulatory surgery center. 

John W. Keys Speech and Hearing Center

The Allied Health Clinics is a partnership of health care practitioners, researchers, and professionals that exist to deliver health care services and education. The Clinics are a multi-disciplinary entity with its primary goal of providing excellence in health care. Specialties include physical and occupational therapy, speech pathology, audiology, gait and balance, low vision and nutritional counseling.

Family and Preventative Medicine Clinic

At the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center Family and Preventive Medicine Clinic, we offer a team approach to health care for your entire family. Our board-certified physicians, physician assistants, and clinical staff work together to provide routine health screenings, obstetrical care, and physical exams, as well as care for acute and chronic illnesses.

Children's Hospital Foundation

Children's Hospital Foundation is the only organization in Oklahoma whose sole focus is the advancement of pediatric research and education. Current research and education focus areas include: infectious disease, cancer and blood disorders, cystic fibrosis and lung disease, genetic disorders, diabetes and endocrinology, developmental and behavioral pediatrics (ADHD, Autism), clinical child psychology, trauma and pediatric surgery, kidney disease, gastroenterology, pediatric training, ethics in pediatric medicine, and the care of critically ill newborns and preemies.

Center on Child Abuse and Neglect (CCAN)

The Center on Child Abuse and Neglect (CCAN) is a university-based center that directs research, professional and public education, clinical services, and administrative programs in the field of child maltreatment. Since 1992, CCAN has provided high-quality, reliable, and consistent services to Oklahoma families and professionals in the area of child maltreatment.

Veterans Administration Medical Center

The Oklahoma City VAMC is a modern tertiary care GM&S facility which provides a broad range of medical, surgical, and psychological services to almost 40,000 active patients. As an integral part of the Oklahoma Health Center, the 1,400 dedicated employees provide expertise and direction in patient care, medical education, and clinical research.
