Brightspace by D2L
Brightspace is the Learning Management System (LMS) that provides online access to course related academic materials and organization sites. https://learn.ouhsc.edu. Please log in and visit Brightspace Help in the red navbar for instructor and student resources!
Online survey and analytics tool that can be used by OU faculty, staff and students to gather data and insights as well as conduct institutional research and generate reports. survey.ou.edu - simply log in with your HSC credentials to have an account created.
Respondus LockDown Browser is a custom browser that locks down the testing environment to prevent cheating during exams and integrates seamlessly within the Brightspace LMS.
Respondus Monitor is a fully-automated proctoring solution that is used in conjunction with LockDown Browser. Students use a webcam to record themselves during an online exam. Afterward, flagged events and proctoring results are available to the instructor for further review.
Respondus 4.0 is a powerful tool for creating and managing exams that can be printed to paper or published directly to Brightspace. Exams can be created offline using a familiar Windows environment, or moved between different learning systems. NOTE: This only works on Windows operating system.
Turnitin is an originality checking and plagiarism prevention service that checks your writing for citation mistakes or inappropriate copying. This tool is integrated within the Brightspace LMS to be used in course assignments.
LinkedIn Learning offers a robust amount of videos and content in a variety of different groups. Users may also earn certificates which they can share on social media or on their LinkedIn account. Have questions?

Point Solutions by Turning Technologies is an audience response system which offers support for both clickers and mobile application responses. This easy-to-use polling software provides enhanced tools to engage with your audience and identify their understanding.
(This is not a centrally supported tool, but one that HSC has been utilizing for some time, we recommend utilizing Top Hat if you are new to the student response system environments)
Top Hat - Centrally Supported Student Response System
The University of Oklahoma has an official partnership with Top Hat as the university’s centrally supported student response system. Top Hat’s active learning technology helps professors engage students before, during and after class. Top Hat helps you engage students in and out of the classroom through cutting-edge polling software, low-cost interactive content, flexible homework systems, and secure test-taking solutions. Top Hat also offers instructional design services to prep courses, train and work one-on-one with instructors to ensure they’re fully ready to use Top Hat for the first day of class and beyond.
