Baby-Friendly Inititive Ontario: Evidence-Informed Key Messages and Resources
Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) at Boston Medical Center is a research-tested intervention designed to implement hospital practices that support breastfeeding.
Boston Medical Center, an urban academic medical center serving primarily low-income, minority patients, received Baby-Friendly designation in 1999 after completing the Ten Steps for Successful Breastfeeding, forgoing free formula and promoting, convenience by offering breastfeeding/breast pumping rooms throughout the hospital.
