First time Direct Loan borrowers must complete entrance counseling. Studentloans.gov, the US Department of Education's Direct Loan website, provides an entrance counseling tool that provides students the necessary information required before a student borrows a loan and, upon completion, it sends an automatic notification to the school the student designates.
Undergraduate students: please select the option specific to undergraduate students.
Graduate/professional students: please select the option specific to graduate/professional students. This is required for first time Unsubsidized and Grad Plus loan borrowers.
