For the first time since 2019, OU Health Harold Hamm Diabetes Center at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences, will present its Connect + Cure Gala on Wednesday, Nov. 29, at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. The biennial event was put on hold in 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

A new vaccine candidate to provide broad protection against pneumonia, developed by a researcher at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, is being given to humans for the first time in a Phase I clinical trial.

Jaewon Kim, D.D.S., M.S.D., Ph.D., a clinical assistant professor at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry, has been awarded the Nobel Biocare 2023 Excellence Award in Clinical Documentation.

“The OUHSC Unity Clinic is a wonderful example of a student-led, academic-practice partnership that achieves outcomes in student learning and increases the community’s access to care,” said Dr. Christine Arenson, director of the National Center.

Lynn R. Goldman, M.D., M.S., Ph.D., distinguished pediatrician and epidemiologist, will be the featured keynote speaker of the University of Oklahoma’s Hudson College of Public Health’s 2023 Hudson Fellows in Public Health Symposium.
