5 Things HSC Students Need to Know This Week

Published August 05, 2020

HSC Student Affairs is thrilled to see our students returning to campus. Regardless if you are a new student, been here all summer, or returning for your final year, we are here to support you. Got a question? Email students@ouhsc.edu.

  1. Counseling Services
HSC Student Affairs understands the added stress and concern COVID-19 can bring. At this time, Counseling Services are available via Telehealth. To make an appointment with a counselor, please email counselors@ouhsc.edu or call (405) 271-7336.
  2. Mask Up
All individuals must wear a disposable surgical-style or fabric face mask while inside University facilities. Masks must be worn by all in University-provided transportation (campus shuttles, buses, police safety escorts, and motor pool/leased vehicles). Masks must also be worn in outdoor campus spaces where social distancing cannot be maintained. Scarves, bandanas, and the like are not adequate. Masks must cover the nose and mouth. All students can pick up a surgical style mask from HSC Student Affairs located on the third floor in the HSC Student Union.
  3. New COVID-19 Response Website
HSC Student Affairs has launched a new, comprehensive online resource for our community to utilize in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Please visit www.ouhsc.edu/coronavirus to see updated information, FAQs, and other resources.
  4. Card Access Only
To limit the spread of COVID-19, many of the buildings on the HSC campus can be accessed by your Student ID card only. During business hours, the HSC Student Union is open. However, many academic and resource buildings will require your ID to gain access inside. Please contact the OneCard office at oneCard@ouhsc.edu or (405) 271-2980 if you have questions or issues. Currently the HSC Student Union is open to the public Monday - Friday, 7 AM - 5 PM, or 24/7 for students with your HSC ID.
  5. Zoom Pro Licenses for all Students
OU-IT will provide Zoom Pro licenses for all students on the Norman, Health Sciences Center, and Tulsa campuses from July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021. With your Zoom Pro license you can: Schedule meetings with no time limits, include up to 300 participants, and create a Personalized Meeting ID.
