National Allied Health Professions Week celebrated Nov 2-6

National Allied Health Professions Week will be celebrated the week of November 2-6, 2020 to honor educators and providers in the allied health care professions.

The College of Allied Health is celebrating Thursday, November 5, 2020 with a special lecture from 11:45-1:00 in a virtual event.

Allied Health Professionals are licensed caregivers including audiologists, nuclear medicine technologists, diagnostic medical sonographers, dietitians, occupational therapist, physical therapists, radiographers, radiation therapists, and speech language pathologists. They are the people in hospitals, offices, schools, and physician’s clinics who provide services that pertain to general health and the identifications, evaluation, treatment, and prevention of diseases and disorders. Those in the Allied Health Professions have the opportunity to do clinical practice work or to do research, health care policy leadership, or educate the next generation of Allied Health Professionals.
