Latest Treatment Options for Prostate Cancer to be Discussed at Public Presentation

Stephenson Cancer Center invites men and their guests to learn more about the latest treatment options for prostate cancer at a special presentation with a fellowship-trained urologic oncologist, October 29.

Kelly Stratton, M.D., will present "Latest Treatment Options for Prostate Cancer," including active surveillance, prostate cancer robotic and traditional surgery, image-guided treatments like prostate cryotherapy and HIFU (high-intensity focused ultrasound technique to remove prostate tissue), focal therapy, radiation therapy and more. A question and answer period will follow his presentation.

Stratton sees urologic patients, including those with prostate cancer, at Stephenson Cancer Center. He completed a fellowship in urologic oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, and completed his residency training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville. He earned his medical degree at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine.

This event is open to anyone, regardless of where they are receiving treatment. The program, which is being offered at no cost to participants, will be held at 6 p.m., Tuesday, October 29, at Stephenson Cancer Center, Seminar Room 5058, 800 N.E. 10th Street. Free parking is available.
